Encourage patient Albert E not to be too hard on himself. / Even self recrimination leads to further speculation for patient Albert E. / As with many of us patient Albert E’s brain activity appears to fluctuate between extremes. / Once off topic patient Albert E appears to be as susceptible to distraction as the rest of us. / Make note of instances of recurrence in session discussions with patient Albert E. / Patient Albert E appears to be at as much of a loss in some regards as the rest of us are. / Remember to probe patient Albert E on his thoughts surrounding the “one leg at a time” theory. / Ostensibly intellectual patient Albert E demonstrates a subtle understanding of emotional situations. / Explore the possibility that conceptual thinkers like patient Albert E have difficulty with visual images. / Discourage patient Albert E from exaggerating the significance of obstacles to progress made to date.
