Help patient C get beyond their tendency to see things through a cynical lens. / Attempt once again to clarify for patient C the nature of our relationship with humans. / Remember to remind yourself that certain patients require more patience than others. / Remember that patient C experiences life in ways that make others’ behaviors perplexing. / Use patient’s observations as a basis for the discussion of various personality types. / Inadvertently or not patient puts an exclamation point on their opinion of canine and feline types. / Surly feline patient continues to look for rationalizations for their position as number two pet. / Patient continues to take umbrage at the perceived secondary treatment at the hands of our handlers. / Patient seems to relish the antagonistic relationship I’ve tried hard to diminish. / Feline patient appears to enjoy pointing out the various distances between us.
