Steer patient DES away from fatalistic attitude no matter how justified. / Take measures to reverse patient DES’s steep slide toward doom. / Explore further patient DE’s observations and anecdotal material regarding interest in what lies ahead. / Encourage patient DE to qualify their evaluations and deductions from observed behavior. / Help patient view situations from a perspective other than their own. / Help patient understand that what makes sense for one does not necessarily make sense for all. / Patient alludes obliquely to the idea that meaning is often hidden in full sight. / Patient needs further focus on resorting to umbrage as their default defense mechanism.
