Excerpts from Therapy Dog’s Session Notes:

Sudden springing into action at the turn of a knob indicates disaffection with being cooped up in a small, dark, claustrophobic box; alleviates resultant anxiety by playing practical jokes on the unwitting.  Morbid sense of humor undeterred by screaming toddlers or chest-grabbing adults.  Rationalizes menacing grin as the simple result of a sudden exposure to bright light.  Exhibits a strong aversion to nursery rhymes and associated musical tones; complains of constant ringing in the ears.  Expressed a desire for a longer spring.

Note for further study: Possibly a resentment toward an association with clowns and toys fuels a deep-seated need to traumatize the innocent and unsuspecting.
