Urge patient K to expound on their big picture views. / Get patient K to clarify definitions if possible. / Encourage patient K to put medieval methods of valuing life into historical perspective. / Remind patient K not to put too much stock into the value that others put on us. / Patient appears to have come to terms with their own relative lack of power. / Delve further into patient’s rationalizations regarding their own seemingly evasive behavior. / Much more work required if patient’s ingrained cynicism is to be softened and eased. / Difficult to argue in favor of openness when, as patient candidly notes, deviousness is rewarded.
