It appears that patient RW’s empathy is at odds with their responsibilities. / Encourage patient RW to refrain from taking responsibility for the behavior of others. / Patient’s real life experience leaves them with little patience for popular aphorisms, axioms and bromides. / Patient’s exasperation at having to elaborate on the obvious is obvious. / Clarify with patient their thoughts and observations on the nature of gaming obsession. / Continue with patient discussion of the relationship between sanity and risk. / Patient continues to experience difficulties keeping their spirits up in the face of daily encounters with desperation and hopelessness. / As we all often do, patient tries in vain to explain emotional behavior in terms of coolheaded reason and logic.
